Galactic Panther Art Gallery is excited to announce an opening reception for, “LIMBS: A Group Art Show”. The reception will be held Friday, Oct. 11th from 4:00-7:00 pm. This opening party will be locally catered and feature live music including Rob Kennedy Band from NYC. This art exhibit celebration is FREE and OPEN to the public. Donations are gratefully accepted, and all artwork will be for sale. 

After two exhibits from French artists, Galactic Panther brings it back home with a group show from artists all living in the U.S. including several from the DMV. “LIMBS” pushes the boundaries of what may be considered figurative works and showcases a diverse group of artists working in a wide range of media including painting, photography, ceramics, and more. 

“Limbs are how we connect with our environment and with each other, much like art. An arm may feel different from a leg, but from a broader perspective they are part of the same whole, much like people. I’m excited by the range of perspectives and aesthetics in this show. The artists have been influenced by street art, tattoos, sexuality, abstraction, music, and so much more”, states Galactic Panther curator Eli Pollard. Camila Mancilla, a Chilean artist and architect living in Alexandria once wrote a paper about scissors as prosthesis titled “Magic Limbs”. Come see her collages exhibited alongside a dozen other talented artists including: Tim Brown, Brian Bustos, Gavi Crane, Jim Joint, CJ Hodges, Jim Mariano, Claire Packer, Andreas Rausch, Edo Rosenblith, Darren Smith, Jacob Thomas, & Rob Weiss.
