Three wind ensembles emerge from the Main Street Community Band. The Four Winds clarinet quartet, Route 236 trombone quartet, and the musical stylings of Fred Rosen on saxophone. Featuring wildly eclectic collection of styles from jazz to rock to classical to pop and more. You’ll get there times the music, three times the fun.
Route 236 was founded by bass trombonist, Armand Marquardt, in 2012. The group was initially from the Main Street Community Band. They performed the local Fairfax and surrounding areas to promote the community band. The current lineup have been entertaining audiences in and around the DC, Metro area for the past 6 years with a mix of jazz standards, pop/rock, swing, latin, and traditional music. The group lineup is Daniel Xu, Steve Latourette, Gary Ehrlich on tenor trombone. Founder, Armand Marquardt, on bass trombone.
